Fifer’s Day Celebration

Fifer’s Day is Boxborough Massachusetts largest annual community festival, typically held on the third or fourth Saturday in June at Flerra Meadows. It is organized by the Boxborough Minutemen Company and the Town Public Celebrations Committee

The celebration commemorates Luther Blanchard, a local fifer who played at the Battle of Old North Bridge in 1775, and was the first person struck by a bullet in the American Revolution “ the shot heard round the world”.
